Brianna, Austin, and their planner Kayla, with Some Like It Classic, came to us with a very clear image in mind for the details of their modern El Chorro wedding. This came as no surprise though as Austin (who works for 5visual) has a natural eye for design! At our first meeting, they brought us a sketch of various arch-shapes they wanted to see incorporated throughout design pieces such as their escort display and ceremony details. This was the first time we had seen this design for an Arizona wedding, so we were thrilled about it! After showing us the mock-up for their seating chart it was time for us to get to work.
Brianna and Austin had an absolutely breathtaking and tear-jerking first look and ceremony.
Before walking down the aisle, Brianna and Austin shared a first look and read private vows to each other from our Promise Pages vow books that were pressed with their branded monogram. We may have shed a tear or two seeing how important these vow books were to them! We love being able to provide our couples with a keepsake of their vows to each other. It’s such a beautiful sentiment they’ll keep and cherish forever!
With El Chorro as their venue, their ceremony was surrounded by stunning views of the Camelback and Mummy mountains! This outdoor desert venue in the incredible Paradise Valley landscape provides the most charming and romantic place to say “I do”. On the path to their ceremony, Brianna and Austin asked us to create a half-arch-shaped sign with a bible quote from Colossians 3:14 “and over all these virtues put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity.” So heavenly, and SO romantic!
After a beautiful ceremony, it was time for guests to find their seats.
Their seating chart was what modern chic wedding dreams are made of — it will forever be one of our favorites! As we discussed in our meeting, Brianna and Austin wanted a statement-making seating chart and we gave them just that! We designed three towering half-arches varying in shades of ivory and beige with gold detailing and white lettering. It was a gorgeous design element that seamlessly tied into the rest of their reception decor. At the base of the three half-arches was a petite arch with gold lettering that read “your seat awaits.” It felt incredibly personal and unique, and guests were able to find their seat while admiring the gorgeous details!
We carried the arch style seen in the seating chart throughout various parts of their wedding, which resulted in a very cohesive design.
The arches were seen throughout different elements of their decor such as a vignette of half-arches styled with floral, a large gold N (for Nikkels) and personalized dinner menus that were set at each place setting!
In addition to making a special day for the two of them, Brianna and Austin wanted their guests’ experience to be memorable. They knocked it out of the park! Special attention was payed to the gorgeous details that went into items such as welcome gift boxes, an elegant dinner with personalized menus, and their beautiful traditional catholic ceremony.
Weddings like Brianna and Austin’s are what inspire us as designers! We absolutely adore when our couples think outside the box and are true trendsetters. Their reception was chic with neutral colors and playful details including the fringe chandeliers, pampas floral installations, and comfy lounge furniture. Their bar was to die for, customized with a front panel that read “The Nikkel’s est 9|04|2020”. We are so proud of how it turned out!
Love is in the details, and it’s clear this was the case for Brianna and Austin’s modern El Chorro wedding. There was so much love poured into their wedding day and all of the hard work was absolutely worth it. We’re incredibly grateful we had the opportunity to create stunning displays for them!
