Feb 24

It’s been a crazy couple of years for everyone, but the wedding industry has DEFINITELY felt some growing pains. Luckily, it seems as though everyone has worked through the restrictions and challenges and honestly, we are LOVING the new trend waves coming through. Lately, many couples are leaning towards smaller gatherings with their favorite people instead of the flashy 150+ guest weddings. There are so many positive reasons as to why you should have a more intimate wedding and we get it! It can be hard to establish what parts of your wedding are most important to you and what you want to pour your time and effort into. But, we believe that the details are what pull every single wedding together. Pinterest Intimate Wedding GOALS – Elaborate Tablescapes

One of the easiest ways to make a statement at your intimate wedding is through reception design. This is the portion of the day/night where you and your guests will spend the majority of your time. When you take the time to elevate your dinner environment, you can anticipate an experience that will be next level for you and your guests. One of our favorite ways to do this is by polishing your tablescapes to perfection. Need some ideas? That’s what we’re here for! We’ve seen everything from custom chargers to unique table numbers and that is just the beginning.

Your tablescape should capture the overall design of your wedding day; the skies are the limit! You can go as big or as small as you want but just know that with this added touch of love, your guests will not only feel comfortable but like they are dining at a five-star restaurant. For some fun and unique ideas, check out our recent blog post: 6 Ways To Spice Up Your Wedding Tables!

You’re One Of Our Favorite People – Personalized Place Settings

Ready for your intimate wedding to be small but mighty?! So are we. By personalizing place settings for each guest, your wedding will feel incredibly elegant and your guests will feel honored to have been on the guest list! Your guests won’t be sifting through hundreds of chairs trying to find their name BUT they will adore the time and effort you poured into a setting just for them. Make your guests know how important they are to you and emphasize how happy you are to have them at your wedding. We’ve seen couples hand-write notes and set them at each setting – an idea we are obsessed with! These little love notes are the perfect way to personally thank each and every one of your guests for attending such a special day.

Another fun and unique way to elevate these personalized place settings is by creating a unique acrylic cut-out of their name, a customized ornament, or a personalized menu. Your guests are going to be snapping pics all night to show off how amazing your wedding is!

Investing in Statement Pieces

First impressions are everything! But, here’s your reminder to make sure your guest’s first impression of your wedding is a good one. Now, we both know that no matter what your loved ones will be in attendance; they’re excited and sooo happy for you and are there to celebrate your love with you! But, why not make their jaws drop?! One of our favorite ways to elevate small weddings is through WOW-worthy moments or statement pieces. Trust us, the investment in these pieces will make all the difference. Some of the most popular ways to do this are through escort displays, champagne walls, and more! The options are endless and we want to help you figure out what’s going to WOW your guests and represent you as a couple!

Dinner AND A Show – Offer Special Experiences!

When you’re not spending thousands of dollars to feed hundreds of guests, you may have a little more wiggle room in your budget. With this, I encourage you to consider investing in adding special experiences for your guests at your wedding! We all know how important the overall experience is at each wedding: the food, the music, the venue, but have you thought about all the ways you can bring that experience to the next level?

We’ve seen some amazinggg experiences added to weddings in the last few years and couldn’t help but share them with you. Some super cool moments we’ve seen couples include at their intimate weddings are star chart readings and performers such as stilt walkers and aerial dancers. Consider an experience that you and your guests may not see any other day of the week (or in general!) This is going to make your wedding insanely memorable AND fun!

Enjoy Your Stay – Wedding Weekends!

Planning a destination wedding? Turn your small wedding into the ULTIMATE wedding weekend! We love this idea for anyone planning to tie the knot in a location that guests are anxious to explore. When you are wedding planning, I encourage you to think about the days leading up to your intimate wedding and the days following. Guests are likely to come into town a day or two before and stay for a few days after in order to really experience the city you’re in. Help your guests figure out what to do with their weekend by providing an itinerary of what you would recommend, as well as pre-planned wedding weekend events! Themed welcome parties, afterparties, and farewell brunches are all wonderful ways to make your favorite people enjoy the sites and sounds of the city you’re in.
