Meagan + Alex’s Timeless Black and White Wedding at Mountain Shadows

BIG NEWS!! If you’re one of our current clients you may have already heard, we recently introduced our new “Love Story Questionnaire” to our couples and WOW, it has been the most incredible addition to our business! The questionnaire provides us with loads of information and allows us to foster a stronger relationship with our clients from the start. Within our questionnaire we invite couples to open up and share something special with us about their relationship — it could be a memorable moment from their love story, a favorite activity they enjoy together, or something else! We then take this information and get to planning their custom wedding display. We love coming up with design ideas and incorporating special details such as a favorite food or activity! The amazing couple that we’re introducing you to today was one of the first to receive and fill out our love story questionnaire. We absolutely adore what we were able to come up with for these two! Looking back on this wedding day, we feel so grateful to have been a part of it. We are so excited to share their timeless black and white wedding at Mountain Shadows.

Their Love Story

I want to introduce you to Meagan and Alex — these darlings are high school sweethearts, just like Brad and I! Meagan and Alex are Arizona natives so of course, they had to hold their wedding in their sunny home state. After meeting during high school in 2005, Meagan and Alex formed countless memories and essentially grew up together. These days they love to live a simpler life, spending quality time with their daughter Ava, and going on outdoor excursions. In fact, the great outdoors is such a significant part of their relationship! One weekend, Alex took Meagan on a fly fishing trip. Little did Meagan know, right in the waters of Horseshoe Bend, Alex would pop the big question! 💍 All these precious memories are a special part of their love story, and led up to their long-awaited wedding day.

The Venue

The stunning Mountain Shadows was the venue of Meagan and Alex’s dreams. Located right at the base of Camelback Mountain, this gorgeous mid-century modern venue features clean lines and has a chic feel – perfect for this glamorous black and white wedding!

Each couple we work with has the opportunity to collaborate with us on their designs and let us know what moments they want to prioritize throughout their wedding day. For Meagan and Alex, they wanted their seating chart to make a statement, but also had their sights set on a welcome sign and table numbers that had a subtle, timeless feel. To keep things simple, we used frosted acrylic for the table numbers and welcome sign which allowed for the seating chart to become the main event.

We constructed their escort display to feel like a timeless, modern installation that was unique to them and their engagement story. The oversized black bases gave a punch of minimalism while bringing in a tiny nod to fishing with the “My Greatest Catch” title and subtle fishing line and hook, since that was a huge part of their proposal. The display had tall white framed-out acrylic panels projecting from the top that listed guest names and table assignments; it turned out to be such a beautiful piece and Meagan and Alex were in LOVE!

Bringing Meagan and Alex’s wedding display to life and seeing the way our custom build filled the space was amazing. The table numbers beautifully accented the reception tables that glistened in the golden candlelight, the seating chart was a show stopper, and overall we were just so in love with the result! To top off such a glamorous and beautiful black and white wedding, we are so excited to share that these two were also recently published on Bridal Musings! As vendors in the wedding industry, it’s always so fun to see our work featured.
