Modern Art Gallery-Inspired Wedding at Mountain Shadows

Created by Ali Coşkunfrom the Noun Project

When Konsider It Done reached out to us for an art gallery inspired wedding, we knew immediately that we had to hop on board! We are always down for a drop-dead gorgeous theme! We could tell from the start that Geyse (pronounced like Jay-Z) and Adam were absolute gems, and Kris (from Konsider it Done) communicated their vision to us perfectly. This whole process was such a joy to be a part of and from the very first meeting we were excited and itching to get to work!

Geyse and Adam’s modern and stylish art gallery inspired wedding was held at the Mountain Shadow Resorts in Paradise Valley. Honestly, they could not have found a better fit for their mid-century modern style! Kris explained it perfectly in her blog, “This venue has all the right stuff; spectacular architecture, phenomenal views, the tastiest food, and service above all the rest.”

Our lovely couple had their monogram incorporated into many of the details including custom vow books, invitations, ceremony details, the escort installation and so much more!

At The Details Duo, we do have a very special place in our hearts for details… Can you blame us?! It’s in our name! This wedding stole our hearts because it was all about the details, details, details! Our beautiful bride was incredibly fashion-forward and came up with so many of the ideas on her own; seriously, some of the elements she envisioned were breathtaking!

Something that really stood out about their wedding day was how non-traditional it was.

Geyse and Adam are verrryy cutting-edge to begin with, so they didn’t want their wedding to look like all the rest. Their modern art gallery inspired wedding came to life with a little help from their own personal touches. We were lucky enough to partner with Heidi from Idieh Design on almost everything. She designed the files and we produced the items! It’s always so much fun when we are able to collaborate with other wedding professionals — the result is always amazing! Geyse and Adam had so many customized pieces and elements that they incorporated into their day making it truly one of a kind.

One design element we particularly loved bringing to life was the escort display, it absolutely blew our minds!

This display could only be described as an art installation — easily one of the most unique escort displays we’ve ever seen and we are so lucky to have had a part in creating it! This escort display was absolutely the stand-out focal point of their day (besides Geyse of course, I mean she was STUNNING!) Think about every detail you could expect at an art exhibit right down to the custom plaque, this escort display had it all!

Something we found so incredibly cool about the escort display is that Heidi added the vinyl tape with the guest’s table and names to the floor that led you to the reception space. The black acrylic chairs we created from individual pieces that were cut on the laser and put together, acted as the starting point of the escort display. It really drew guests in and prepared them for the gorgeous reception they were about to enter.

Another amazing custom detail was their acrylic chargers.

Again, Heidi designed them and we produced them! If we’re being honest, they were some of the coolest, most unique details we’ve ever created! As the cherry on top off the reception details, Geyse and Adam chose to name each of their tables after a different modern art museum — are you kidding? LOVED IT!

Weddings require a lot of hard work but the payoff is always absolutely worth it, especially when we get to see our clients’ reactions to the custom pieces we create for them. When Geyse walked into her reception and saw the escort display and all the special details at the dinner tables, it brought tears to our eyes. Ready for a sweet surprise? Here is the bride’s live reaction to the escort display — this is why we do what we do! We will remember that look on her face for a long time; making people’s dreams come to life is such an honor and we are so lucky to do it every day!

It was inspiring to work with such a great team of wedding vendors; seeing this wedding come to fruition was amazing and the photos explain more than we ever could!
