Celebrating love is one of our all-time favorite things to do. You really can’t go wrong with beautiful love stories! Alongside our wedding community we’ve been celebrating pride month this June, so what better time to feature one of our absolute favorites from last September: Stephanie and Katie’s wedding in Sedona! Their breathtakingly beautiful celebration took place at Enchantment Resort. Ready to dive into this enchanting day with us? (Pun tooootally intended!) Keep scrolling!
Stephanie and Katie are two of the nicest, most laid-back, gracious human beings we have ever met and they also have iconic styles. Their vision for their wedding was to have a day they could cherish for a lifetime with their friends and family, but one that was EPIC. What we loved so much about them (aside from how wonderful they are) is that Stephanie and Katie were up for anything when it came to designs and totally accepted our ideas and input! The key to memorable wedding decor is collaboration. We love your ideas, you love how we execute them! It’s a perfect match. Plus, collaborating with our couples allows us to get to know them and their visions incredibly well — providing a perfect end result.
Their Love Story
Stephanie and Katie were dreaming of the perfect destination wedding weekend to celebrate their love with their closest friends and family. Sedona, Arizona was the perfect spot for them! Stephanie, Katie, and their guests live out of state so this was a fun trip for them all to go on together. What could be more memorable than visiting a beautiful new state with the people you love the most?! As we got to know these two and hear about their love story we understood that a strong part of their relationship is the passion they share for travel — their engagement took place under the Northern Lights! So we knew we had to incorporate some touches of travel into their welcome party backdrop.
The Creative Details
We collaborated with Stephanie and Katie as well as Jesse Jo from Freja Creative to bring their dreams to life. Creating a backdrop for their welcome party, a welcome “moment” for ceremony, seating chart display, large bar menu sign, bar panels dedicated to their late grandma “Bummie”, drink stirrers, and table “numbers” (they were names of various cities!) were a few of the ways we brought touches of their personality into the wedding day. Jesse took care of the graphic design while we took care of the fabrication and installation! Also… we love that the coordinates on the drink stirrers were of Enchantment Circle where they said “I do!” And, if you look closely at their cocktail napkins you’ll see a nod to the fun fact that Stephanie is an anesthesiologist and Katie is an attorney. It really is about the details!
Ceremony
Private vows were exchanged at the top of the mountain prior to their ceremony, but when we saw the grand welcome sign standing in front of the red rocks we were OBSESSED. Knowing that Stephanie and Katie were so happy made this day even better, our hearts burst with joy seeing how happy they were to celebrate with each other, their family, and friends! It was a gorgeous outdoor location for these two to wed, especially with their love for adventure and the outdoors. In fact, all the events of their wedding day were supposed to take place outside but mother nature had some other plans for them. We had planned to install all their details in the outdoor locations and for a second we were nervous about how they would translate indoors… but friends, it WORKED! Their vibrant colors that were used both in floral and wedding decor popped indoors and it was incredible. The room felt intimate and sweet, perfect for Stephanie and Katie.
It totally helps that they chose an incredible venue as the setting of their wedding day. Enchantment Resort is a stunning space and their website says it best: “The dramatic red rocks of Sedona’s Boynton Canyon set the tone for an experience beyond compare.” And we tooootally agree! This space was breathtakingly beautiful.
